High Internet Rates!

The Minister for Information & Technology, Dayanidhi Maran says the Internet rates in India are way too high, which is true indeed. For broadband to pervade in the country, the rates have to come down drastically.

I don’t really know why cable modem is not so popular in this part of the world, yet. Infact, most of the houses in India have television sets and many atleast subscribe to cable television programs. That being the case, it should be technically feasible to have cable modems which are better than DSL lines.

Virumaandi is the Best Asian Film of the Year!

Kamal Haasan’s Virumaandi is adjudged the Best Asian movie of the year in the PiFan 2004. Indeed a great recognition for the magnum opus of the excellent artist!
