Trains are one of the most popular medium of transports in India and with the uprise in technology, Indian Railways is picking up too. You can now get railway related information on mobile phones using SMS! Even confirmation of your ticket, seat availability etc. Way to go, man.

Internet on the go in India

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that you can even access Internet on the go with GPRS or CDMA service in India. India, as always, is pretty fast picking up the good stuff from the west. And at times, it makes the technology even better with competition, population and the demand.

IIMA, the toughest in the World

How about this? The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad is said to be the toughest to get into, tougher than even Harvard Business or Columbia, reports Economist.

And IIMA is ranked 5th best in the world. Inspite of all the credits, the average starting salary is around $43k compared to $100k of Harvard. Well, for India’s cost of living, thats more than a decent salary though.
